This Sant Jordi relive the OBC’s tour of Japan with the opera Turandot and the voices of Iréne Theorin and Teodor Ilincăi
Until 24 April, you can enjoy this spectacular production staged by Àlex Ollé with musical direction by Kazushi Ono and featuring Iréne Theorin and Teodor Ilincăi. Recorded on 20 July last year at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, and available via 'L'Auditori at home with you'.
L'Auditori brings you a soundtrack for Sant Jordi with the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini performed by a star line-up, with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, musical direction by Kazushi Ono and staging by Àlex Ollé.
The video, available via 'L'Auditori at home with you’ until 24 April, is the OBC performance from 20 July 2019 that formed part of their five-week tour of Japan.
The production is led by soprano Iréne Theorin as Turandot, and tenor Teodor Ilincăi as Calaf. Other soloists include soprano Nakamura Eri in the role of Liù and bass Riccardo Zanellato as Timur.
The OBC are accompanied by the New National Theatre Chorus, the Fujiwara Opera Chorus Group and the Biwako Hall Vocal Ensemble.
